This year’s Windforce 2012 conference premiered in Bremen and also featured a first-time trade fair, thus DOC as a Bremen-based company seized the opportunity to participate with an own stand.
During the past years the Windforce event used to be a pure conference meeting based in Bremerhaven. This year, however, the organizers added an exhibition and moved the entire event to Bremen, converting it into the biggest national offshore-only exhibition. Obviously, DOC couldn’t pass up this opportunity to exhibit at this home event with an own stand joining forces with last-minute sub-exhibitors CP/NL Engineering and NBR Offshore Logistics. Furthermore, Mr. Oliver Spalthoff - DOC managing partner – actively participated in the conference with an oral presentation on „Due Diligence: Impact of Offshore Requirements“ held within the „offshore financing“ panel.
The DOC stand was highly frequented right from the start which also contributed to our duly exceeded expectations. New contacts and projects were acquired not only through conference participation but also through high-level talks with decision makers from industry and politics. Among the prominent stand visitors were Mr. Thomas Röwekamp, chairman of the CDU parliament group Bremen (conservative party), as well as Mr. Björn Thümler, chairman of the CDU parliament group Lower Saxony, (see picture below).
