DOC is providing tutors as well as especially prepared lecture notes for a new continuing studies programme which is focused on offshore wind energy and has been introduced this year for the first time.
The Carl von Ossietsky University in Oldenburg and the “ForWind” Academy in cooperation with WAB network are offering the continuing studies programme „Offshore Wind Energy“ which has been specifically tailored to the demands and requirements of the offshore wind industry and its associated partners. DOC will be actively participating in this new programme in two respects – with DOC experts as competent tutors as well as with individually created lecture notes. DOC’s lectures focus on its core competences “power submarine cable” and „marine operations/logistics“.
The lecture notes shall serve for the preparation of the attendance phase as well as of case studies. Furthermore, DOC will organize a “fireplace lounge evening“ offering students and industry experts the opportunity to interact beyond the everyday student life.
It is the aim of this innovative, and as yet, unique part-time study programme to qualify experts and management without having to put their jobs on hold or even resign. The programme is planned to be divided into 5 lecture blocks of four days each over a total period of 9 month.
