Together with its partners the Foundation for Sustainable (FNEZ) has already organized the international conference „Offshore Wind Energy an opportunity for the Polish economy 2017“ for the third time during which the impact of offshore wind on the Polish economy is discussed.
The FNEZ conference was held at the Marriott Hotel in Warsaw on February 27th and 28th 2017 with 250 participants. Topics such as spatial planning, geology and geo-technology, design, wind measurement, safety issues, social communication and cost reduction were discussed by representatives from the most important national companies, developers and investors who are responsible for the realization of offshore wind farm projects in the Baltic Sea.
BalMarTech aside from DNV GL was responsible for the cost reduction panel, discussing the important factors of cost reduction and future industrial trends. The presenter was Mariusz Witoński, CEO of the Polish Offshore Wind Society.
BalMarTech’s presentation was held by DOC’s Jürgen Mackeprang and, among others, focused on innovative offshore logistics, special vessels as opportunity to optimize costs via technological improvement.
Representatives at the BalMarTech/DNV GL Panel were Francois Berry, sales AXYS Technologies, Dr. Cord Boeker, offshore sales director Siemens Wind Power, Jürgen Mackeprang, senior project manager DOC/ BalMarTech and Kacper Rozenbaum, senior consultant McKinsey & Company Poland Sp. z o.o. as well as Lukasz Sikorski, Renewables Advisory DNV-GL. Furthermore BalMarTech, (represented by Jürgen Mackeprang, DOC and Michal Torkaz, Geo Ing) had the honor to address the conference dinner participants with a short speech.
